Light Clean-up Laborer (Final Clean-up) ^To The Top
On most construction sites nearing the end of a project, a contractor will request for a crew of Light Clean-up Laborers, traditionally known as Final Clean-up Crew. Final Clean-up crews conduct the “final sweep” of the interior of a project going through each nook and cranny of the completed project mopping and vacuuming flooring, scrapping paint off and cleaning windows and dusting all corners and counters.

But final clean-up work doesn’t end there. These special laborers are also responsible for making sure all walls, partitions and ceilings are cleaned, and kitchens and bathrooms and their fixtures are polished and in ready to move in condition.

Some of the tools used by a Final Clean-up Laborer are two gallon buckets, razors, mops & brooms, foxtail/feather duster, with supplies such as thinner, and cleansing soaps and detergents.

Mold Remediation
Bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast and other one-celled organisms are the most potent pollutants in the indoor environment. This problem seems to be common in Hawaii where humidity is high. Pollutant control is a must and our training program will equip you with the necessary skills to identify, minimize and contain these pollutants.
Lead Abatement
Lead poisoning still exists. There are thousands of scientific articles on the effects of lead in either children or adults. Lead is a bluish-gray metal used since ancient times because of its useful properties such as low melting point, pliability, and widespread use. Although much progress has been made in reducing lead exposures, the exposure in the workplace continue to be a significant public health problem.
Asbestos Abatement
Asbestos is a generic term for a group of minerals known for their strength and heat resistance. Emergency abatement is conducted when asbestos has been accidentally disturbed. Certified and skilled craftsmen are needed to be trained and available to address these specialized problems.
Hazardous Waste
Over 40 million tons of hazardous waste was produced in the U.S. last year. Therefore, an urgent need exists to train workers on how to best protect themselves and the communities from exposure to these hazards. It is vital for contractors to have skilled employees that can deal with waste treatment, transportation, hazardous waste generation, clean up, emergency response, storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
Anthrax Remediation
Since October 2001, several people have died from inhaling anthrax and additional people have developed inhaled diseases as a result of terrorist actions. Emergency response with investigation and clean up of contaminated sites is work that must be performed by highly trained and qualified personnel. HLTP teaches HAZWOPER standards to protect workers who respond to these types of emergency situations.
